Open Door at Averill Creek Vineyard
Our tasting room and wine shop are open daily from 11am to 5pm. Drop in to enjoy a complimentary wine tasting and daily Savour Specials. Our garden patio is open during business hours and available for picnics when the weather is favourable. Bring along your own picnic lunch or pre-order a gourmet picnic from local fine dining restaurant, Hudson’s on First, to enjoy outdoors with your favourite Averill Creek wine.

Behind the Scenes at Averill Creek – Winery Tour
See the winery in action! Harvest time is an excellent opportunity to learn the details of how our wines are made. Enjoy a guided tour of the Averill Creek winery facility followed by a wine tasting.

Vines & Wines – Walking Tour of the Vineyard
Stroll through the vines and learn about cool climate viticulture. Enjoy a guided walking tour of Averill Creek Vineyard with Vineyard Manager Terry Trapnell followed by a wine tasting. Be advised that our vineyard is on the mountain slope and terrain may be rough. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear hiking footwear.

Victoria Wine Festival, Victoria BC
Victoria, British Columbia, Canada is a city surrounded by natural beauty, blessed with a Mediterranean climate, coloured with gardens and home to a lively and affluent population. In September the Victoria International Wine Festival will takes place showcasing some of the best international wines. This festival is directed at building the knowledge of the average wine consumer, and demonstrating new wines and acknowledging beloved wine standards to veteran consumers.

BC Pinot Noir Celebration, Kaleden BC
On August 19, 2017, the BC Pinot Noir Celebration returns with 34 top Pinot Noir producers coming together, including Averill Creek Vineyard, with five of Western Canada’s top chefs for an unforgettable evening of wine and food at Kaleden’s famed Linden Gardens.
More than 300 guests will sip, swirl and discover the nuances of BC’s Pinot Noirs. Along with a sparkling reception and Pinot Noir salon-tasting, the event offers informative breakout sessions, special key note speaker (Richard Hemming, MW), and live music with local artists Jack and Jill.
Enjoy an exquisite cocktail-style dinner with culinary creations by Western Canada's top Chefs Cameron Smith & Dana Ewart (Joy Road Catering), Alex Sielmann (Frog City Café), Matt Batey (The Nash) & Mike Bernardo (Vij's Restaurant).

Island Icons Pinot Noir Celebration
To celebrate and promote Pinot Noir as one of the iconic grapes of our region, the Island Icons Pinot Noir Celebration brings together all Cowichan Valley wineries that grow and craft wines from Pinot Noir. We invite you to taste, explore and appreciate the uniqueness of our Island wines amid a beautiful setting at Averill Creek Vineyard. Participate in one event or all three throughout the day.
Meet the Makers
An outdoor tasting event, garden-party style on the terrace at Averill Creek featuring wines produced from Pinot Noir. Guests will have the opportunity to mingle with winery owners, winemakers, viticulturists and sommeliers while sampling a range of products from 10different wineries.
Esteemed wine writer John Schreiner will be present at this event for a book signing of his latest release “Icon: Flagship Wines from British Columbia's Best Wineries”.

Tickets $45, includes a Pinot Noir specific wine glass to take home.
Cowichan Pinot 101
A seminar including a formal, seated, blind tasting of different examples of Pinot Noir from various producers in Cowichan Valley. Moderated by a panel of experts, the tasting will be followed by an educational discussion about growing conditions, winemaking techniques and other factors that may influence any differences or similarities in wine styles.

Long Table Dinner with Chef Bill Jones
Dine alfresco on the garden terrace during the evening at Averill Creek Vineyard. Enjoy a gourmet five-course dinner prepared by local chef and author Bill Jones of Deerholme Farm.

The Tofino Wine & Food Festival
The 15th Annual Grazing in the Gardens event welcomes a community of food and drink. The afternoon includes canapes by local chefs and island purveyors, paired with BC wines and island microbrews, carefully tucked away throughout 12 acres of the rainforest, in the Tofino Botanical Gardens. Live music with long time friends of the festival, Dinah D’s Contraband Swingclub and DJ Mr McCue. Discover the local food scene on the west coast, and support the local and like-minded community of foodies.
